Acceleration in 2024 driven by its focus on online travel sellers and tourism boards
B2B2C provider of tours and experiences technology Holibob has today confirmed that it achieved record growth in 2023 and that 2024 was looking positive.
The decentralised experiences platform that drives tours & experiences sales for B2C facing travel businesses, saw a 213% growth in transactions as well as a 152% increase in booking value through its platform, for the full year of 2023.
The business noted that this growth was largely driven by a 166% improvement in conversion rates brought on by refinements to its white-labeled consumer booking sites.
The introduction of its Experiences Marketing Platform, which enables timely delivery of relevant recommendations to known travelers was also cited as a reason for this growth.
Craig Everett, CEO of Holibob, said: “I would like to congratulate the whole team and thank all of our partners for making 2023 yet another record year for Holibob.”
“It’s particularly exciting to see that through the first quarter of 2024 our outlook continues to be extremely positive, exemplified by one partner who has doubled their bookings on our platform in each of the first three months of the year.
“This acceleration is in large part down to the full impact kicking-in of our strategic focus on providing the tools, technology, and expertise travel sellers and tourism boards need to deliver the right products for each traveller when and where they are most likely to book.”
To date, the bulk of the bookings through Holibob’s platform have been for experiences in the Middle East, where the company has several notable partners, and Europe, where it has been testing its Experiences Marketing Platform with a handful of early adopting hotel chains and a global OTA.
Holibob received a series A fundraising of €10 million in 2022 and has gone on to be listed as one of Sifted's Top 100 fastest growing UK & Ireland companies.
